Dalen believes that every business has a responsibility to create returns not only for its shareholders, directors and employees, but also its wider stakeholders.
he founding principle of Dalen’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme is that we have a moral and social duty to help our wider community. As part of this, we contribute 10% of our operating profits to charitable causes.
Our vision for a more sustainable future drives our passion and commitment to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment. We aim to lead by example and join our clients in taking responsibility for our actions.
Our Group environmental policy outlines our commitment to addressing our consumption of energy and water, travel and waste disposal.
We recognise the importance of going beyond mere compliance and continuously strive to raise the standard when it comes to environmental practices.
Our commitment to society extends beyond job creation and the provision of UK-wide employee volunteering opportunities to the longterm investment of time and money into our global community. With 10% of our annual profits going to the Skansen Foundation, we support corporate fundraising campaigns and not-for-profit engagements around the world.
Dalen has partnered with a local Kenyan charity, IPI, to help improve the living standards of a community in Meru that is afflicted by HIV/AIDS. By working in close collaboration with IPI, we have embarked on a 5 year strategy to develop community homes that will empower women and children to improve their long-term quality of life in a sustainable way.
Please view our blog for details on the recent team visit to Meru to discuss strategic planning and potential revenue generation for IPI.
Current focus is on sponsorship for the construction of eco-guest cottages with fundraising initiatives under way. The Dalen team is excited to be contributing to this social development enterprise and if you would like to show your support, please visit http://bit.ly/13LM8Ki
